Curb Appeal
First, look at the outside of your house, better known as your curb appeal. Examine the outside of your home from a street perspective. What jumps out at you? What great characteristics seem waiting to be noticed? Acknowledging this helps us to choose what we can do to draw buyers from the street and into your house. If your home's exterior isn't inviting with retouched paint and bright garden plants we'll need to address those as well. Follow the Curb Appeal Checklist and add dollars to your house's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Does your home seem to say, "Hello From Your New Place" to a buyer? Touring your property with a buyer's eye, I'll advise you of changes that build up sales appeal. I'll advise you take away things that give the impression of clutter. Tabletops should be neatly arranged. Brick-a-brack, souvenirs, family photos, and refrigerator works of art should get stored away too. We need to "de-personalize" the place so buyers can see it as their new place.
I know exactly what a room's best features are and how to highlight them. I'll note the pieces of furniture that should be removed, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, rugs needing to be changed, fixtures that need brightening, and any other improvement that can easily be made to positively affect the sale.
We'll make sure your home is appealing and that it's friendly, staying away from "loud" or "too-bright" colors on the walls and furniture. And if the house is empty, you can consider temporary furniture. The goal is for your house to look homey as opposed to bare.

Setting the Stage You'll know when you're ready to show your home, because all of the changes come together to set the stage for what buyers can expect after they choose to buy your house. To eliminate shadows important and we'll part the curtains, and reduce shadows where needed to invite the buyer inside. We'll enhance the ambiance with enjoyable music to listen to while guests enjoy your home and make sure a delightful aroma circulates room-to-room. We'll add cozy-looking bedspreads, and pillows on your chairs and bed. Buyers should feel like your home is their future home. |
